Vera is a born and raised Long Islander. After graduating high school, she worked in the banking industry and attended the Art Students League in NYC, studying painting with some wonderful instructors thru the years. Her league instructor, Richard Pionk, proposed Vera's name to the ASL Board. She attained proud membership in the league in 1997.
She has been dipping a brush in paint, and playing with pencil & pens, more so since then.
Vera is a realist/impressionist artist, working in oil & watercolor, primarily.
She belongs to several local Art Clubs, and is active in Wet Paints, SBAA, BACCA & BAHC, all in Suffolk Co., NY.
Vera instructs beginner and intermediate students in drawing, watercolor & oil, in the West Islip HS Adult Ed. Program, (all 3 classes). Sayville HS Adult Ed. Program, (Oil painting). Dowling College, Oakdale, NY (Watercolor & Oil).
